Very popular daytime cafe/restaurant. The cafe serves snacks and drinks, and always smells just a bit too much of burnt fat for my liking, and can be a bit too warm.

The restaurant, open from about 11am until 2pm every day serves a basic lunch, choose from one, two or three courses for a standard price. Licensed, so you can enjoy a half of bitter if you wish. Dishes include roast dinners, steak pie, cottage pie, salads and fish. Puddings are often good and stodgy. All the food is cooked on the premises.

This is good basic British fare, but I do like the blonde waitress!
